"When we have nothing else, an old crumpled photo can be worth more than gold itself."
At the heart of every person, is a story being written. A story of how they came to be, the obstacles they've conquered and the grievances they've shared in this quest we call life. Hundreds of thousands of hours of experience, ever accumulating, waiting to be applied to the next journey.
When I was younger, I remember looking at pictures in magazines, books and photo albums. Within these pictures, hold stories that tell of emotion and memories. They are captured forever in a frame of our choosing. I always loved Storytime as a child and more so as an adult. To have the ability to dive into a world that is not my own and experience another that exists on a different plane.
Stories are powerful; they hold lessons in life, open your mind to new ideas, capturing our hearts and stimulating our minds. Things we experience in life are adventures, made up of lessons and experiences that teaches us about ourselves. My passion for stories as a child evolved a passion for information, intelligence and wit as an adult.
Photography is a method of storytelling. They say pictures speak 1000 words, and they do. These are the snapshots of life, emotion, experience and overall beauty. When we have nothing else, an old crumpled photo can be worth more than gold itself. In my story, I was in my late twenties when I went back to school. The reason I went back was because I felt I wasn't in the place that I was meant to be.
I was almost 30 and really had no knowledge of life or professional experience. I was hungry and needed to indulge in only what higher learning could provide. I enrolled in community college and took every class that interested me, which was a lot of them. Not a lot of them had to do with the other, but I didn't care, I was learning. Following my goals. Learning new passions. Though it wasn't until I graduated from community college and transferred to a university that I found my passion that I sought. You wouldn't believe how many extra credits I had that didn't carry over. LOL.
Fall 2015 I enrolled at Temple University. Major; Copywriting. Minor; Art. Looking back now, choosing Art seemed more like an afterthought, but it did allow me to take a wide plethora of classes. One of these classes was Digital Photography. A class requirement was to own a camera so I bought my first camera right then which was a Nikon D3200. I loved that camera. Shot everything I could find with it. Tried many different styles of photos from landscapes to light painting. One thing I love about photography is that it is ever changing.
There's always something new to learn or the next big lens that can take better eye popping photos than the last. It has the ability to hold so much more than just visual information. It can tell a story, make someone smile, make someone cry or just remember a whole lifetime. It is one of the most powerful tools that we have at our disposal.
I am a US Army Veteran, Temple University graduate and Freelance Photographer. In my spare time I like to engage in motorcycle related activities, shoot photographs and create amazing memories to look back on later in life. I love music and live shows. I'm an introvert by nature but I like to regularly break myself out of my shell.
I'm a distracted creative who finds focus through photography and tying all of my accumulated skills together to serve a central purpose. I am a weird outside the box over thinker. I love fresh ideas but also love to revisit old ones. I crave intimacy, not just in love, but also in the emotion that the camera captures.
Let's get up close and personal. Get to know one another. Share some laughs. Take some fire pictures. Capture some memories, so you can return to them later exactly as you left them. Now that you know my story, I want to know yours.
Let's get to know each other!
Read below what past employers/mentors have said about me as a professional;
"As a startup founder who juggles between running a technology company and managing its human resources, I appreciate Adam's self-motivated and high enthusiasm for everything he does. He's a team player and volunteers himself to tasks he has never done before with a great learning attitude. He's punctual, committed, and has great communication skills. In his role as an intern, he has proven himself beyond his peer and earned a promotion to Managing Editor within less 3,4 months. I recommend Adam highly as a humble and motivated worker who'll go above and beyond for his team."

"I first met Adam when he was a student in my Persuasive Writing course during Fall Semester 2016. I had the pleasure of teaching Adam again in my Introduction to Advertising Course during Spring Semester 2017. I’ve taught over 1,500 students during my career. Adam is among the select few, most memorable students. One of Adam’s standout skills is his deep critical thinking ability, which consistently manifested through his frequent participation in class discussion.
Adam always brought a unique, thoughtful perspective to our class discussions, significantly enriching the class dynamic. Every time Adam volunteered to speak in class, I very much looked forward to what he was about to share, because I knew what he was about to share would allow his classroom peers to ponder a new viewpoint and widen their own perspectives. Always a pleasure to be around, Adam is an intelligent, articulate and thoughtful individual, who has a bright future ahead of him. I strongly recommend Adam for your consideration.
